Chai not working: a short checklist

What the site answered on our last check

So the service was alive at the moment of the check. If it does not open for you, the cause is further down this page — network, login, limit or a block.

One honest request from our side at the moment stated above. This is not monitoring and not a live status, and it is not an answer to «does it open for me» — for that, use the check below. Services that promise a live status for any brand usually show the same single request without saying where they looked from.

Why there is no «check from your side» button here

On our other pages this is a button: the browser tries to load the service's icon directly and so shows whether a request from your network gets through. Chai has no icon we can use — the usual paths return HTML or a 404 instead of an image — and a button that would be wrong half the time is worse than none. The probe above and the steps below still apply.

Our log of checks

Started on 3 October. This is not continuous monitoring: a check runs whenever the page is rebuilt, so the gaps are uneven — but every row is a real request, not a drawing.

First — did it break, or did it run out?

1. The free-mode limit. Unpublished but real: the character stops replying until you watch an ad or the limit resets.
2. Region. Safety Center: some regions require a paid subscription — without it the chat may be closed.
3. Updates. The app updates often (14–15 September 2026 in both stores); an old version may fail to connect.
4. Age. Where stores verify age, the app will not open without an 18+ confirmation.
5. Reinstall from the official store, not from a third-party APK.
